Sears Still Sinking, but Lives to Sell Another Day

Sears Holdings (NASDAQ: SHLD) saw its sales fall from $25.1 billion in 2015 to $22.1 billion in 2016 as same-store sales dropped 7.4%. About $1.3 billion of that overall revenue drop came from simply having fewer stores — the company has been actively shuttering Sears and Kmart locations — while the dip in comp sales translates to $1.4 billion less in revenue. …read more
